Johan Spross

Johan Spross is associate professor in geotechnical risk management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. Currently, his research focuses on how probabilistic methods can be used to account for risks and uncertainties in a rational way, in order to minimise the costs and use of resources both in construction and in operation of the geotechnical structure. In addition to his position at KTH, he is involved in the National Implementation Commission for Eurocode 7, and member of ISSMGE TC206 Observational method and TC304 Risk. During 2019-2024 he was a recurrent guest researcher at the Engineering Risk Analysis Group at the Technical University of Munich.
